Suunnittelin Meriruusu-kimonon kuosin vuonna 1996 osana Taidetellisen Korkeakoulun Muoti-ja tekstiilitaiteen gradua Japanilainen uni 1997. Kuosi palkittiin Pariisissa osana aasiahenkistä tekstiili- ja vaatetussuunittelijoiden Postgraduate-ohjelmaa 1997, yhteismallistoa. Meriruusun pohjalta vaatetussuunnittelija Solveiga Kadike loihti muodon vaatetusmallistoonsa jaguard-kudotulle kuvan Meriruusku-kimonolle, sekä kaikille käsinpainamilleni ”meriruusuille”, erilaisille Haute Couture -vaatetuskankaille.Kuva suomalausjapanilaisesta Dialogi-näyttelystä 16.12.2023- 3.3.2024 Suomen Käsityön museossa Jyväskylässä. Kuvassa vasemmalla Pikkukimalaiseni 2023, käsintuftattu 100 % Uuden-Seelannin villa . Sen alla japanilaisen nuoren paperitaiteilija Kanna Koizumin Paperikudonta. Meriruusu-kimonon alapuolella Karoliina Tuovisen japanilaisen keramiikan historiasta inspiraation saaneita ruukkuja.Olen tehnyt 1990-luvulta lähtien erilaisia yhteisöllisiä taideprojekteja, joihin olen kutsunut mukaan muita taiteilijoita ja suunnittelijoita. Koen olevani taiteen moniottelija, ja tekstiilisuunnitteluprojektien ohella olen tehnyt vapaata taidetta, sekä rakentanut yhteisöllisiä ja osallistavia materiaalilähtöisiä sisustuksellisia taideteoskokonaisuuksia ja installaatioita. Sain mm. Taideteollisen Korkeakoulun stipendin eri osastoja yhdistävästä projektista, MA-yhteisnäyttelystä Japanilainen uni 1998 Taideteollisuusmuseossa (Designmuseo) vuonna 1997.
