MELT - light
MELT design lighting is made of mouth-blown glass that creates an illusion of a melting ice block. The unique shapes of the lamps are made with free blowing technique where the bubble is blown over a graphite block. The hollow brick-shape is finished with sand blasting and becomes the characterizing element of the product.
As there is water added into the lamp, it can also be used as a vase or the water can be colorized to make different variations of the clear glass lamp. The water inside the lamp also reflects the light beautifully on the table and makes it more alive.
MELT is blown at Mafka & Alakoski glass studio in Riihimäki, Finland.
FLIP - Electric foldable scooter
Foldable electric scooter concept for Finnish e-scooter brand Meeko.
My proposal for the new Meeko scooter has a very minimalist style. All the unnecessary elements have been left out of the design and the remaining are aesthetically as simple as possible. So simply put, “form follows function”.
The rotary folding system allows the two main frames to be almost identical. The scooter folds simply by turning the steering stem 180° and tilting it then down. The round plates around the hinge prevent the stem from folding down while driving. The wooden board and the handle bars have also hinges so the scooter folds in a very compact size. The battery and control unit with all the electricity is hidden inside the pipe structure.
MULTI glass collection is an internationally acclaimed and award-winning product series consisting of pendant lights, vases and boxes. It is based on a new kind of modular glass blowing mold developed by Jokinen and Konu. The Multi series combines artistic and industrial perspectives in the production of glass objects. The modular mold can be used to produce unlimited amounts of forms by stacking the mold layers in different order. The products are made in co-operation with professional glassblowers. Minimal and clear aesthetics of the Multi collection implies the design principles and mindset of the Nordic designers.
SLIM is an oak table set manufactured by Anttiina Oy. Slim is aesthetically light but a high quality and sturdy table. The natural oak material ages beautifully and the timeless design ensures that the table becomes a lifelong partner.
The set consists of a dining table and console table. The dining table comes in two sizes, for 4 and 6 persons. Anttiina is a Finnish furniture company known for its skilled craftsmanship and high quality materials. The oak table is 100% made in Kauhajoki, Finland.
KEHIKOT 5G station
3rd prize in Helsinki 5G Base station design contest by the City of Helsinki, Nokia & Elisa 2019

Kehikot is a modular and scalable 5G base station structure. It is customizable for different environments, enabling unlimited possibilities with various materials, plants and light modules. Minimal structure is scalable in height and volume and can be installed into existing infrastructure or used as a standalone unit without compromising the city landscape.
Steel frame of the 5G base station consists of one meter modules that can be stacked on top of each other. The triangular metal structure does not distract the signals and interlocked devices require less space. The modular frame provides easy assembly and maintenance possibilities. It also enables low production costs and effective logistics.
